In 1985, REGAR was founded in Japan as a manufacturer of sailboat parts.

At the time, all marine products in Japan were imported, so Yoshinori Kobayashi, an engineer, and his colleagues started the company from a room in their home with the desire to create products that they could easily use themselves.

Since then, we have manufactured and sold a wide range of products, including not only sailboats but also PWCs and boats.

Recognized for its high quality, the company has supplied products to Yamaha Motor, Suzuki, Yanmar, and others.

From the first Japan International Boat Show, the company has exhibited without fail.

In 2019 we started processing and selling SeaDek as a Cerified Fabricator.

We are also the Japanese distributor for various other supplies such as STAR BOAD, SeaSucker, and MIDNIGHT FOREST.

REGAR USA Inc. was established in 2024 as the sales office of REGAR MARINE ENGINEERING Inc.
