Founded in 1985 in Japan, REGAR began as a manufacturer of sailboat components, addressing the gap in domestically produced marine products.

At the time, the Japanese market heavily relied on imports, which inspired Yoshinori Kobayashi, an engineer, and his colleagues to start the company from their home, with a vision to create superior products for personal and professional use.

 

Over the past 40 years, REGAR has grown to offer a diverse range of marine products, including parts for sailboats, personal watercraft (PWC), and motorboats.

Our commitment to quality has earned us longstanding partnerships with industry leaders such as Yamaha Motor, Suzuki, and Yanmar.

 

We have been a consistent presence at the Japan International Boat Show since its inception. In 2019, REGAR expanded its offerings by becoming a Certified Fabricator of SeaDek, and we are proud to serve as the exclusive Japanese distributor for esteemed brands such as STARBOARD, SeaDek, SeaSucker, Carbie Pole, and MIDNIGHT FOREST.

 

In 2024, we took a significant step in our global growth by establishing REGAR USA Inc. as the sales office for REGAR MARINE ENGINEERING Inc., furthering our reach into international markets.
